FLIGHT TRAINING

Phoenix Aviation is a CAA Declared Training Organisation (DTO), located in the Control Tower at Solent Airport Daedalus, Lee-on-the-Solent.
 

Our fleet comprises five of the very popular and reliable Piper PA28 light aircraft and two Ikarus C42 microlights.  Four of the PA28s are Warrior IIs and the fifth is an Archer III - all extremely well equipped and maintained.

 

As a DTO we provide flying tuition, groundschool and ground exams for the Private Pilots Licence (PPL), Light Aircraft Pilot Licence (LAPL), National Private Pilots Licence (NPPL) and Microlight rating.  We also offer advanced training for the IR(R) and Night Rating, as well as renewing and revalidating various ratings.

Training is conducted by one of our fully qualified and experienced  flight instructors.

Our excellent facilities on the first and second floors command superb views across the airfield and include two briefing rooms, a conference room, member and pilot lounges, a dedicated planning room, kitchen and WCs.  In addition, we have a hangar in which our C42s are housed.

Solent Airport is an ideal training base as its hard runway and taxiways mean that we are never grounded due to waterlogging.
